Between major site integrations, new items will appear on my New Acquisitions pages Back to Photographical Index Page Taken with the Hawk-Eye Camera A crisp 4-3/4x3-3/4" photograph of an 1890's home interior, mounted on a stiff green mount. Imprinted at the bottom of the mount is "Made with HAWK-EYE Camera". Photographs that we can call "samples" taken with different cameras were used at the time to show the quality of images available with many of these new amateur "hand" cameras. Few of these sample photographs have survived to the present time. This Hawk-Eye camera was undoubtedly one of those produced by the Blair Camera Company of Boston, before its absorption into the Eastman Kodak Company shortly after the turn of the century. $75.00 |
